OSU football gets warm welcome home
STILLWATER, Okla. — Lots of fans were on hand in Stillwater as the OSU football team came home Tuesday afternoon. All ages cheered and were dressed in orange to welcome the winning team after a nail biter against Stanford.
Coach Mike Gundy brought applause when he got off the plane.
He had plenty to say about his fans and team.
“Well it’s a great welcome and it’s not surprising from the OSU people,” he said. “It shows strong support for our team and the players deserve it. They’ve workded very hard. All the recognition that they’re receiving right now is well deserved.”
OSU Quarterback Brandon Weeden summed it all up.
“It’s an awesome thing to be a part of it. Kind of a fairytale ending to a magical ride,” he said.
Gundy is now focusing on his contract negotiations and recruiting.
Weeden says he wants to take a shot at the NFL.
