Police arrest elderly man in son’s shooting
OKLAHOMA CITY — Police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead. Officers discovered a body at a home near 122nd and N. Air Depot. Investigators say someone called police to the home shortly after the shooting 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
“The caller reported a shooting. Officers responded to that location and located one victim deceased in the house,” OKC Police Sgt. Jennifer Morris said.
Sgt. Morris says the person who tipped off police called from a truck stop near I-35 and 122nd.
In the parking lot of that truck stop, police had taped off an RV.
Witnesses tell us they saw an elderly man, who could barely walk, taken into custody.
Police are releasing very few details about the investigation.
A neighbor told us a father and son lived in the home.
He asked police what happened.
“I assumed that the young son had killed the father, my assumption, he (officer) said it was the other way around, the father had killed the son,” neighbor Mike Woodward said.
Police are expected to release additional details Thursday.
