ADA, Okla. — Authorities in Ada believe they got a child predator off the streets just in time. You won’t find many people at the Glenwood Park in Ada on a cool January day, but recently police say 36-year-old Christopher Bleichroth was trolling the place and approached a young teen who was hanging out at the skate park.

“The man approaches the child and asks the child to have sex for $100 and the child refuses. The man then asks to have sex for $200 and the child refuses,” Pontotoc County District Attorney Chris Ross said. “The child stated the man then began to beg trying to get the child into the vehicle.”

That’s when police say the child hid in the park and Bleichroth began to repeatedly circle the area.

“Some adults fortunately happened by that knew the child. What happened was reported to them. Law enforcement was summoned and the man was pulled over,” Ross said.

Inside a lunch box in the maroon single-cab pickup Bleichroth was driving were things too vulgar to describe.

“Ada police officers found a stun gun in the on position in the front seat and a box containing several sexually oriented devices,” Ross said.

They also found as three jars of Vaseline.

“We think the evidence speaks for itself,” Ross said. “The fact that anyone would do this and make these kind of requests of a child is pretty appalling.”

No one answered the door when we went to the suspect’s home.

He’s now facing charges of lewd proposals to a child under 16 and attempted kidnapping.
