OKLAHOMA CITY—Firefighters had to battle not only flames but also these bitter temperatures to knock down a house fire Saturday morning. The blaze broke out around 2 a.m. along the 1900 block of N.W. 39th St.

When crews arrived, the home was engulfed in flames.

They had to work quickly but were able to save a business and another nearby structure where the windows were cracking from the heat.

Officials say the home was vacant but may have been used as a shelter for someone trying to stay warm.
