Company donating tornado sirens to Woodward
WOODWARD, Okla. — The community of Woodward will soon get a new tornado warning system courtesy of the Apache Corporation.
Lightening knocked out power to that town’s siren system during the April 15 tornadoes and that meant some residents didn’t get a proper warning.
The apache corporation said the new siren system will work even if there is a power outage.
It will include a total of 23 sirens.
