Man accused of lewd acts with deaf girl

OKLAHOMA CITY — A store clerk is accused of luring a 14-year-old deaf girl into a bathroom and exposing himself.

Oklahoma City Police arrested Syed Haider, 32, on a charge of indecent or lewd acts with a child under 16.

“I don’t want to tell nothing, you know right now. I will say in court what’s going on,” Haider said.

Police said Haider handed a note to the girl when she entered the Western Ave. Quick Mart Monday night.

Investigators said he asked the girl for sex.

“She went back to the bathroom with him and that was when he exposed himself. He tried to lay her down and climb on top of her and she was able to get away,” OKC Police MSgt. Gary Knight said.

Investigators said the girl went home and told her mom about the incident.

Police arrested Haider Monday night.

When we spoke to Haider, he told us he bonded out of jail Tuesday morning and hasn`t hired an attorney.
