In Your Corner Team Tracks Down Missing Keepsake
OKLAHOMA CITY – Joe O’Roark says things went south at Showcase Trophy & Awards when the new owner, John Pfoutz, started running the show.
O’Roark said, “March 19th, on a Friday, I brought this project over here for John to work on.”
O’Roark, a mason with the Mustang Masonic Lodge, says Pfoutz refuses to return several of the organization’s items, including a keepsake name plate.
Pfoutz, who’s in the process of filing bankruptcy, has since moved his operation out of the old shop and into his home.
O’Roark fears the name plate is lost.
“It’s been extremely frustrating that he will not call me back,” he said. “You can tell me to go jump in the lake or something. He won’t even call me back.”
Friday, we finally caught up with Pfoutz at his home.
He admitted fault and turned over the Masonic Lodge’s name plate to O’Roark.
“I just moved my shop and I’ve been having a lot of financial issues,” Pfoutz said. “We’re getting [the issues] fixed up.”
In the end, Pfoutz was forced to learn an important lesson the hard way.
O’Roark on the other hand is one relieved mason.
“I would have never gotten any further than this,” he said. “I didn’t even know where he lived, so thank you.”
