Man slams car into Ohio federal building, runs away naked
CANTON, Ohio — Canton police arrested a 26-year-old man Saturday morning after he allegedly drove his car into a federal building, then ran naked from the scene.
It happened around 3 a.m. at the Ralph Regula Federal Building and United States Courthouse at 301 McKinley Avenue SW.
Canton Police Sgt. John Bosley said Christopher S. McCormick, of North Canton, somehow got past the security gate and struck the building.
Police soon apprehended McCormick and took him to the hospital for evaluation.
He was then booked into the Stark County Jail on a felony vandalism charge, along with an unrelated criminal trespassing warrant from 2011.
McCormick will remain in custody on a $25,000 bond until his appearance in the Canton Municipal Court early this week.
