Double Gainers help raise thousands for March of Dimes
EDMOND, Okla. — We’re raising money to save babies! Wednesday, students at Cross Timbers Elementary in Edmond presented In Your Corner reporter, Scott Hines, and Scott’s mom, Susan, with a $2,000 check for the March of Dimes, an organization that has special meaning for Scott.
Last year his nieces were born 9 weeks premature and weighing just under four pounds.
The girls finally got to go home after spending more than a month in the mercy NICU.
They faced a host of health issues and limitations.
Today both girls are happy and healthy, selected as ambassadors for last weekend’s “March for Babies” walk at the fairgrounds.
Their walk team, The Double Gainers, raised more than $13,000 for the March of Dimes with the help of family, friends and students at Cross Timbers and Angie Debo elementary schools.Submit Your Photo
