“Red River Rivalry” not going anywhere
NORMAN, Okla. — It is one of college football’s biggest games and is known to fans as simply the “Red River Rivalry.”
For years, the University of Oklahoma and University of Texas have met at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.
The schools have now reached a new agreement that will keep this tradition going through 2020.
Some thought the game might be moved from the Cotton Bowl to the new Cowboy Stadium.
To help improve the Cotton Bowl, the city of Dallas is spending millions of dollars to renovate the stadium.
