High-speed chase sends one to local hospital
NORMAN, Okla.—One man is recovering in the hospital this morning after leading the Oklahoma Highway Patrol on a chase overnight.
Troopers say the pursuit started in Oklahoma City and ended around 2 a.m. when the suspect crashed just south of Norman on I-35.
The suspect reached speeds of up to 100 miles an hour and was swerving in and out of traffic.
Troopers were able to perform a tactical maneuver to stop the suspect, which rolled the car.
No word on why the suspect initiated the pursuit.
