Barons drop opener to Marlies
OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma City Barons were shut out in the opening game of the American Hockey League Western Conference Finals, as Toronto beat OKC 5-0 in Game 1 on Thursday night at the Cox Convention Center.
The Marlies scored twice in the first period, once more in the second and twice again in the third period to take the early lead in the series.
The two teams continue the series with Game 2 on Friday at 7 p.m. at the Cox Center.
