Rollover crash sparks gas fire
OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma City firefighters spent several hours containing a gas fire early Friday morning.
About midnight, a driver crashed into as he was making a left-hand turn onto Memorial.
Police say, the man was driving northbound on Clearbrook Road (which is between May and Lake Hefner Parkway).
Police say the driver was traveling too fast when he rolled his car and hit a gas main, which sparked the gas fire.
Flames shot 50 feet into the air, burning nearby power lines.
An eyewitness pulled the driver from the wreckage.
Police shut down Memorial Road while the fire was contained.
Police arrested the driver for DUI.
