NORMAN, Okla. -- No. 4 Oklahoma softball opens the Women’s College World Series Thursday at noon against South Florida.

The game will be played at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium and will also be televised on ESPN2.

Thursday’s appearance will mark back-to-back trips to the WCWS for the Sooners and their seventh overall.

Head coach Patty Gasso believes the team gained valuable experience from the WCWS last season and will come out poised and ready to play against USF.
