Bomb squad investigates suspicious package downtown

OKLAHOMA CITY — Authorities are investigating a suspicious package reported downtown near the Myriad Botanical Gardens just after 7 p.m. Monday. 

The gardens have been evacuated as a precaution. 

The bomb squad is using a robot to check out the box in question which was found across the street from the Chesapeake Energy Arena where the NBA Finals will begin Tuesday at 8 p.m.
