Sheriff’s deputies make arrest in sex sting

EL RENO, Okla.—An Oklahoma City man is behind bars in Canadian County after being accused of preying on young children.

Michael Dubala, 57, thought he was on his way to meet a 15-year-old girl.

However, when he went to the meeting place, he ended up meeting with officers.

Adam Flowers, with the Canadian County Sheriff’s Dept., said, “He was shocked and upset. He knew he’d been caught.”

Officers say Dubala had been communicating for three weeks online with a person he thought was a young girl.

Flowers said, “Began asking various questions regarding my sexual history and asked if I would be interested in a 57-year-old man.”

Investigators say those conversations escalated and Dubala asked to meet with the girl.

Flowers said, “He obviously knew what he was doing was illegal.”

That’s when he was taken into custody, along with his car.

The suspect was booked into the Canadian County Jail with a bond set at $125,000.
