Driver wrecks, flees, returns
OKLAHOMA CITY — An overnight accident tied up traffic along I-35 for about an hour.
It happened about 1:30 a.m. Monday in the northbound lanes of I-35, where I-35 turns to I-235.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a driver took a turn too fast and rolled his vehicle.
However, when crews arrived, the driver had run away from the scene, leaving his passenger stranded inside the vehicle.
The passenger was freed from the vehicle with the jaws of life.
Police say, the driver eventually returned to the scene and was transported to the hospital.
The passenger was also transported.
Their conditions are unknown.
Crews re-opened the interstate about 2:15 a.m.
