Sooner pair helps Team USA to pair of wins
OKLAHOMA CITY — OU pitcher Keilani Ricketts and OU catcher Jessica Shults both contributed to a pair of wins by Team USA on Saturday at the World Cup of Softball at Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City.
Ricketts got the pitching start for the Americans in their evening game against Canada, going four innings and giving up four hits while striking out six in a 9-0 run-rule win for Team USA.
Shults started at catcher in the 2-1 win over the Netherlands earlier in the day.
Team USA improved to 4-0 in the event, clinching a berth in the championship game on Monday.
