Duplex fire

OKLAHOMA CITY—Firefighters responded to a duplex fire early Saturday morning.

Crews were called to the 700 block of N.W. 34th St. and Shartel around 3 a.m. Saturday.

When they arrived on the scene, they could see flames shooting out of the building.

Fortunately, they were able to get the fire under control quickly.

There were people inside the home at the time of the fire but everyone was able to make it out of the building safely with no injuries reported.

Monte Ware said, “Yeah, we got a lot of cleanup going on out here. There’s some nice stuff but it didn’t really mess up too much of the house.”

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
