Former OSU star arrested for assaulting mother
DESOTO, Texas — A cowboy in handcuffs… There’s new information about former Oklahoma State star and current Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant.
He was arrested near Dallas, in the suburb of DeSoto.
He is accused of assaulting his mother, Angela Bryant, Saturday afternoon.
In the arrest warrant, police wrote the defendant, Dez Bryant, grabbed his mother by her hair and hit her across the face with his ball cap.
It also states that he pulled her by her shirt and it tore, along with her bra.
When police interviewed her Monday, officers noted in the report that they observed bruising on her right and left upper arm.
Dez Bryant was arrested Monday and posted a $1,500 bond within a few hours.
Police said, at this point, they do plan to file charges.
As for the Dallas Cowboys, the team isn’t saying much.
A spokesman said they are looking into the matter and will not comment at this time.
