OKLAHOMA CITY -- Free medical, vision and dental care are heading to Oklahoma City.
The Remote Area Medical Foundation, RAM, will be at the Fairgrounds Aug. 25 and 26 caring for people at no cost.
Local organizer Tres Savage said this is the second time they've come to town.
"We last did this in 2010 and we saw more than 1,600 patients for medical, dental and vision services. We've already been getting calls this year asking when the event is and when do they need to get in line for care," he said.
The national group was in town Wednesday to answer questions and work out logistics.
Those volunteering, like dental hygienist Donna Brogan, say this event is necessary.
"It's really important to give back to the community in times like this with the economic hardship on patients," she said.
Patients will be seen on a first come, first served basis.
The doors will open at 6 a.m. both days of the August event in the Oklahoma Expo Hall at the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds.
RAM is still looking for medical professionals to volunteer their skills.
