4 Your Child: Teen hearing loss up
Many parents have their child’s eye sight tested before the start of school but have you ever considered having your teen’s hearing tested?
A national study found that hearing loss among teens is up significantly in the past 15 years.
Untreated hearing loss can lead to permanently damage critical communication skills.
It can also cause a student to perform poorly in school and have low self-esteem.
Dr. Larry Engelmann from the Audiology Clinic stopped by to talk about ways to prevent hearing loss and how to tackle the issue if it does occur.
