OKLAHOMA CITY -- A local business went up in flames early Monday morning.

About 1:30 a.m. Capitol Wine and Spirits liquor store caught fire.

It's located in the area of NE 23rd and Prospect.

Crews received a call from a passerby that the business was on fire.

When officials went to investigate, they found heavy smoke and visible flames.

Crews initially had trouble getting into the building because of iron bars on the doors and windows.

Firefighters did not know the exact amount of damage, but did say that the fire was contained to the front side of the building.

Arson investigators were called out to the scene.
