Comanche County wildfire still burning
INDIAHOMA, Okla. — A grass fire is burning out of control in southwest Oklahoma.
It started Wednesday near some railroad tracks in the small town of Indiahoma, which is near Lawton in Comanche County.
The fire crews that initially responded nearly put the wildfire out, but then they ran out of water.
During the time it took crews to refill and return the fire reignited and spread.
The fire has consumed 10,000 acres so far.
More than 100 firefighters are working to contain it.
Some residents have been evacuated as a precaution.
