Guess what starts Friday night at 6:30 p.m.? The Olympic Opening Ceremony!
To get the full summer games experience outside of London, head to the Devon Boathouse Friday night for a free Olympic watch party.
The party starts inside the boathouse and then moves outside after dark to watch the ceremony projected on the Chesapeake Watch Tower. Parking is also free.
Need to get the kids check ups to head back to school?
Get free physicals and safety gear Saturday at the Children’s Health Fair from 9 a.m. to noon.
Don’t miss free clothing and diaper giveaways, free bike helmets and free food at Crossing Community Center.
Also get car seats for only $10.
To qualify you must bring:
- The child who will use the car seat or be within eight weeks of your due date
- Proof of guardianship
- The vehicle that will most often be used to transport the child
- Proof that the family receives State assistance

Get together and feel alright at Bricktown’s Reggaefest Friday night and Saturday. Admission is free so bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy a variety of bands in the downtown entertainment district.
Get a taste of the islands with Caribbean food and drinks.
All ages are invited to the party at the corner of Sheridan and Oklahoma Ave.
In honor of National Cheesecake Day Monday the Cheesecake Factory is giving you cheesecake for half the price!
