Elk City Explosion

UPDATE

ELK CITY-OK– Hodges Trucking Company on S. Merritt Road experienced a large explosion Saturday Morning.

Elk City fire officials said Hodges frac tanks caught on fire.

The company specializes in oilfield equipment and oversized machinery.

At this time, it is unknown how the fire started but viewers say they can see the smoke 30 miles away.

Authorities evacuated a one mile radius around  the flames due to chemicals that are inside the building.
