UPDATE: Suspect, two others dead in College Station shooting
COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Authorities said the suspect and two others are dead after a shooting near the Texas A&M campus Monday afternoon.
The College Station Police Dept. has confirmed Constable Brian Bachmann, the shooting suspect and one other male victim were killed in the shooting.
Authorities said the constable was attempting to serve the suspect an eviction notice.
CSPD said one other officer was shot in the leg, a female victim is in surgery for a gunshot wound and two other officers have non-life threatening.
The University issued a “Code Maroon” warning students of an “active shooter.”
Authorities have not released the suspect’s identity or what led to the shooting.
The scene is about a mile away from a local College Station high school.
