Kristin Chenoweth leaves The Good Wife

NEW YORK, NY — After sustaining an injury on the set of The Good Wife last month, Oklahoma native Kristin Chenoweth is leaving her recurring role on the CBS series as she continues to recover.

Chenoweth issued this statement:

“It is with deep regret to inform everyone that due to my injuries, I am unable to return to The Good Wife at this time. I’m getting better slowly, and thank you everyone for your concern.”

While filming the season premier of The Good Wife on July 11th, the Oklahoma singer and actress was injured by a piece of falling lighting equipment.

She was hospitalized overnight as a result of her injuries.
