Kindergarten teacher expected in court on lewdness charge

CHANDLER, Okla. -- A former teacher accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student is expected in court Monday.

Mandi Layne Guerrero, 34, is facing charges of indecent proposal and lewd acts with a child under 16.

Guerrero is accused of having a romantic relationship with a 15-year-old girl.

Guerrero taught kindergarten and was the cheerleading coach at Stroud High School.

She turned herself into police in June and posted bond.

Guerrero is set to have her initial court appearance Monday afternoon in Lincoln County Court.
