Historic MLK Jr. audio uncovered
This is a short clip from an audio-taped interview with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr from 1960.
This unique piece of history was recently found in a Tennessee attic.
The never-published recording of an interview with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was recorded three years before his famous “I have a dream” speech.
Here’s a quote from the audio recording:
“Oh, I think a tremendous effect. I am convinced that when the history books are written in future years, historians will have to record this movement as one of the most greatest epics of our heritage. I think the movement represents struggle on the highest level of dignity and discipline.”
The audio reel was marked “Dr. King interview December 21st 1960.”
