Hazmat responds to cookie company spill
OKLAHOMA CITY– Police and Hazmat crews rushed to a local cookie company for a fuel spill that occurred early Wednesday morning.
According to police, a truck driver for the Keebler Cookie Company was driving to the back of the property when he ran over a large trailer jack, puncturing the gas tank.
That puncture leaked between 50 to 100 gallons of diesel fuel into the parking lot just before 3 a.m.
Hazmat crews were able to get the spill cleaned up before any of the fuel reached the storm drain.
