Weatherford Police accused of forcing students to crawl

WEATHERFORD, Okla. -- A group of college students claim they were taunted by police officers and forced to crawl on the ground to avoid going to jail.

Dylan Frizzell and three friends said the officers confronted them Saturday night.

According to the students, they were given the option of crawling on the ground back to their apartment or going to jail for public intoxication.

"I felt very degraded. I felt shocked, appalled, like I couldn’t believe it," Vincent Stong said.

Dylan Frizzell said he was the only one who didn’t crawl.

He claimed he walked back to the apartment and a short time later he was arrested by officers for public intoxication.

"Since I didn't crawl for them earlier they were looking for any reason to arrest me and they got me," Frizzell said.

Frizzell spent the night in jail and was fined $84.

The students admit they were drinking but claim they did nothing wrong.

Weatherford Police are now investigating the allegations.
