Ty Douthit is this weeks Senior Athlete of the Week. Ty is a lifetime 4.0 student and is active in football and baseball. He has received “All Conference” honors in baseball at Bowlegs High School since his freshman year, Offensive Player of the year in both football and baseball, “All District” football for two consecutive years, and was named Vype Magazine’s pick for quarterback in class B this year.

Ty’s accomplishments are not just academic and athletic. He has also volunteered as a mentor at the Special Olympics, and frequents the local nursing home where his great grandmother resides. He is a leader both on and off the field and sets a great example of sportsmanship, friendship, and dedication in everything he does.
He has been attending concurrent college classes since his junior year, and has scored “advanced” on most of his end of the year instruction tests. He is a member of Gifted and Talented and Beta clubs and makes his teachers, coaches, and parents proud every day.
