High school students team up for cancer
DEL CITY, Okla. — Wednesday we told you about a big accomplishment by Putnam City students.
In over 30 years of fundraising they’ve reached the $3 million mark for total money raised to support cancer research at the Oklahoma medical research foundation.
It’s a huge accomplishment.
Now we want to highlight another amazing student fund-raising project called “Win-Win Week.”
This is a collaboration of the Stephenson Cancer Center at OU and the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association.
Jari Askins from the Stephenson Cancer Center and Del City High School Student Council President Imani Cannon joined us in the studio to talk about the effort.
