Massive house fire causes major damage
OKLAHOMA CITY — A large home near NW 10th and Council caught fire about 10 p.m. Tuesday night.
The home is located in the 1300 block of North Davis Avenue.
The garage and attic were fully engulfed in black smoke and flames when fire crews arrived.
Witnesses report hearing explosions coming from the garage, where two cars were parked.
The homeowner was home at the time of the fire, but wasn’t seriously hurt.
She was treated for smoke inhalation on the scene by EMSA.
Due to a lack of water pressure extra trucks were called in to help in the firefight.
Crews contained the flames before they spread to neighboring properties.
Fire officials estimate the damage to be about $390,000.
The home is a total loss
