Police find missing 6-year-old girl

OKLAHOMA CITY — Police in northwest Oklahoma City say they have found a 6-year-old girl who was missing for more than a half-hour.

A family friend told the girl’s parents that they had picked the child up from Washington Irving and dropped her off at the home.

However, authorities say the girl’s parents arrived home to an empty house.

Crews searched the 1400 block of N.W. 178th St., near Western Ave.

Fortunately, officials say that little girl has been found safe and is now being taken back home to her family.
