Thieves steal urn of woman’s ashes
OKLAHOMA CITY — Burglaries continue in Chickasha after broad daylight bandits kick-in a front door then ransack a woman’s home on Sooner road.
Thieves stole two flat screen TVs, several pieces of jewelry and other items of value.
But they also took something priceless; an urn filled with the ashes of Jessica Graham’s mother.
She died ten months ago unexpectedly of lung cancer.
Graham says the only keep sake she has from her mother is a heart-shaped brass silver urn she kept on the mantel in her living room.
“I don’t care if I get anything back, they can keep everything. All I just want is my heart back, my mom was my heart. That’s why I picked that particular urn to put her ashes in. I can hold it close to my heart because mom was close to my heart,” said Graham.
Graham is pleading with the thieves to return the urn with no questions asked. Anyone with information on this case, please call Chickasha police.
