Overnight rollover, driver flees
OKLAHOMA CITY — A rollover accident early Tuesday morning ties up overnight traffic at the Amarillo Junction.
Police say about 3 a.m. two cars were racing southbound on I-44 when one of the drivers lost control on the on-ramp to I-40, hit the side barrier and rolled.
After the rollover, the driver of the wrecked car left the scene and left the flipped car sitting on the on-ramp.
Police believe the second car came back and picked up the driver.
Both drivers left the scene, leaving the car upside down on the on-ramp.
Police do not know if the driver was injured.
The on-ramp was cleared overnight for morning traffic.
