Woman dies after setting self on fire
OKLAHOMA CITY — Authorities have confirmed a woman has died after setting herself on fire.
Monday fire crews found 51-year-old Vicki Gescat with her legs on fire at her apartment near N.W. 122nd St. and Rockwell Ave.
She was rushed to the hospital with second and third-degree burns on 75 percent of her body and later died.
When crews first arrived at the Forest Creek complex, they saw a plastic yard chair on fire.
It was not until they went to the apartment unit door that they realized someone was injured.
