American Airlines investigates accidental “ejection seats”

American airlines is waiting to hear what investigators found when inspecting eight of it’s aircraft with loose seats on board.

The most recent incident involved a New York to Miami flight where a row of seats began moving around during the trip.

American describes the loose seat incidents as mechanical problems.

It has conducted an investigation of eight planes, including all three involved in the incidents, over the past two days.

According to a company spokesman, the aircraft involved recently underwent a seat reconfiguration to create extra leg room.
