Double fatal crash in panhandle

TURPIN, Okla. — Two people are dead after a fatal accident near the Kansas border.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the accident happened about 11 p.m. Tuesday on US Highway 83 about four miles south of the small town of Turpin.

The accident closed the highway about two and a half hours as they cleared the scene.

No other information was immediately available.
