Police investigate disappearance of French Bulldog

THE VILLAGE, Okla. — Police in The Village are investigating the disappearance of at least one prized pooch.

The dog’s owner is convinced the animal was stolen right out of his back yard.

The owner of the missing French Bulldog, Travis Green, has checked everywhere.

He said there is no way his dog simply got out of the fence.

After talking with others in this community, Travis said he believes the beloved animal was stolen.

He said, “My dogs never come in the front yard; they’re either in the house or the backyard.”

Monday night when Travis got home, his beloved French bulldog, Beauregard, was gone.

He said, “I was really hoping he just got out.”

But after looking around, Travis became sure that was not the case.

He called police and filed a report after he found muddy paw prints from what seems to be a larger dog, his fence is bent and a piece of Beaureguard’s collar was in the yard.

About a mile away, another missing pup.

The owner in this case was not available for an interview but she said a neighbor saw a car stop and pick up her dog.

Travis said Beaureguard is all white except for a small light brown spot on his back.

He also has a medical condition requiring daily care to his left eye.

The night Beaureguard disappeared Berkley, Travis’ other dog, was still in the yard; another sign to Travis the pup didn’t leave by choice.

He said, “They’re pretty good friends. They obviously hang out all the time.”

Losing his friend has caused the typically calm boxer, Berkley, to be extra paranoid.

As for Travis, he’s just hoping someone will bring the dog home.

He said, “I just want my dog back to be honest with you. He’s her friend, my little buddy.”

Travis is offering a reward for the return of Beaureguard.

Village Police said these dogs are rare.
