David Stanley Ford High School Senior Athlete of the Week – Hunter White

Hunter is a student at Davis High School. He is not only an outstanding player in sports, he shows exemplary academics,( a member of Davis’s Academic Team), and is involved in many other activities. He has maintained a 4.0 GPA, throughout High School.

He is President of FFA, FFA Judging Team, active in FCA, BPA Club, Aggie Club, and Swine Club. He is involved in Football, Wrestling, and Baseball. He also attends College classes, as well. He has had the highest totals in fundraising for his school numerous times, as he believes in “going the extra mile”.

All the while being this active in school, he also holds down a part-time job. He set his sight on being Valediction, at the start of High School, and according to some of his teachers, his steadfast ways, have gotten it for him. He didn’t chase that as a goal, just to get the title, however, because he wanted to excel in his life. He has always been goal oriented.

He attends church regularly, and always has a nice word for people he meets. In this, and even more, I believe he is an excellent candidate, for not only the Senior athlete of the week, but also for the David Stanley Scholarship Award.
