Free Hazardous Waste Dump
Looking to get rid of junk sitting around the house? You’re in luck!
From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., you can bring up to a car load for free and they’ll even help unload it.
Just bring your water bill to show you’re a resident.
Recyclers must bring their current Oklahoma City water bill stub to prove residency.
Syringes, liquids, inhalers, tire rims and wheels will not be accepted.
Businesses wanting to recycle hazardous waste should contact the Department of Environmental Quality at (405) 702-5100.
Schlegelfest
To thank the community for the support, Schlegel Bicycles is inviting everyone to Schlegelfest Sunday.
Head downtown for an afternoon of fun with free snacks, pumpkin painting, an obstacle course and inflatables.
Also get bike checks, how-to demonstrations and meet others in the cycling community.
Yukon Czech Festival
Join in the party to preserve Czech heritage in Yukon at the annual Czech Festival Saturday.
Start the day at the parade on Main Street at 10 a.m.
Then enjoy the carnival rides, dancing, crafts and of course, the food.
There is something for everyone at this free festival.
Summerfield Summerfest
Enjoy music, food and plenty of children’s activities at the 8th Annual Arts and Crafts Summerfest at Summerfield.
It’s free to see all the arts and crafts from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 122nd St. and Meridian.
5210 Kick-off at Myriad Gardens
Can’t get the kids to eat their vegetables?
Bring the family to the 5210 Kickoff Sunday at the Myriad Botanical Gardens.
From noon to 4 p.m. enjoy free activities focused on teaching the little ones being healthy is tasty and fun.
In the Young Artists Corner kids can express themselves with face painting and a mural wall.
For the adults, baby food made easy, plant giveaways, packing healthy lunches for kids and don’t miss the door prizes.
