OKLAHOMA CITY — Police have made an arrest in the case of a serial armed robber.
Thursday morning Oklahoma City Police arrested Mario Rogers, 31, after a chase and an attempted carjacking.
Detectives had information that led them to believe Rogers was at a motel in the area of I-240 and Western.
According to police, Rogers had a warrant out for his arrest.
Police said Rogers, in addition to being the suspect in multiple armed robberies, was also being investigated for raping a 15 year-old girl.
As officers approached the hotel, officers spotted Rogers getting into his car.
Police said Rogers sped away, ramming two squad cars before getting out of the vehicle and running from the scene.
Oklahoma City Police chased Rogers as he tried to carjack a person in the area.
Police eventually made the arrest on multiple criminal counts including rape, lewd acts, robbery and the outstanding warrant.
