Drunk driver arrested after hitting pedestrian
OKLAHOMA CITY—One man is behind bars after allegedly hitting a woman with his car and then leaving the scene of the accident.
Bethany police say the driver hit a woman who was crossing the street around 1 a.m. Saturday near N.W. 23rd St. and Council Rd.
Authorities say one of their officers saw the accident happen and followed the driver.
That officer was able to pull over the driver a few blocks away and arrest him for driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident.
The woman who was hit was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
