Man arrested for bombing plans
MIAMI, Okla.—An Illinois man is being held without bond after police say he created a plan to blow up Oklahoma churches with homemade bombs.
Authorities say 23-year-old Gregory Weiler II was arrested on weapons charges and for violating the Oklahoma Anti-Terrorism Act.
According to the arrest affidavit, police found detailed maps and torn up notes about 48 churches in the Weiler’s hotel room.
They also allegedly found duct tape, gasoline cans and empty bottles.
Weiler is currently being held without bond in the Ottawa County Jail.
