ENID, Okla. -- A 28-year-old father is accused of raping his daughter’s teenage babysitter.

Enid Police arrested Jimmy Petersen and booked him into jail on a count of first-degree rape.

The victim contacted investigators shortly after the incident Tuesday.

According to police, Petersen came home on his lunch break and raped the 17-year-old girl.

Sgt. Dustin Albright said Petersen was arrested a few hours later.

"She said no and eventually she said he shoved her onto the bed and took her pants down and had sexual intercourse with her," Sgt. Albright said.

When questioned by investigators, Petersen had a different story.

He told police the babysitter wanted to have sex with him and pulled his pants down.

According to police, Petersen claimed that he didn’t want to have sex with the teenager.

"There is no discrepancy that the sex occurred. It is just whether it was forceful or not," Sgt. Albright said.

Petersen is being held without bond at the Garfield County Detention Facility.
