Body found on rural road identified
WELLSTON, Okla.—Lawmen are one step closer to finding suspects accused of murdering a man and leaving his body on the side of the road.
The man whose body was found last week near Wellston has been identified as 35-year-old Gustavo Barragan Valencia.
Police still don’t know why he was killed but say the evidence collected points to gang or drug activity.
Authorities say Valencia was shot twice in the back of the head and left in a ditch.
He was discovered days later by motorists.
Officials are still searching for suspects in the case.
