Pilot killed in Anadarko plane crash
ANADARKO, Okla. — Authorities said the plane’s only occupant, the Lubbock pilot, died in the plane crash south of the Anadarko Municipal Airport Tuesday afternoon.
Officials said crosswinds blew 62-year-old Robery Glasscock’s plane off the runway.
He powered up the Piper Cherokee again and was circling when the plane lost lift and crashed.
Shortly after being spotted by witnesses, it disappeared from radar around 12:15 p.m.
The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are currently investigating the crash.
